Most people who want to start a business are told there's one route: raise money from investors. For anyone without collateral, without credit history, without a family business behind them or a network in finance, that route is closed — and being told it's the only one is what stops them.

Funding Breakthrough Lab exists for those founders. We work with people building their first business, funding it from their own savings or wages, or still figuring out whether their idea is a business at all. We treat bootstrapping and revenue-first growth as real paths — not consolation prizes — and we help each founder choose the route their circumstances actually support.

Our core programming is free and open to everyone. You don't apply, you don't pay, and no experience is assumed. If you've been told you're not "fundable," you're exactly who we built this for.

Free Workshops & Sessions

Free training for the earliest stage of business.

We run free workshops, clinics, and founder sessions every year online and across the Bay Area — open to anyone, no fee and no application. They cover the questions that come before fundraising: is this idea a business, how do I price it, how do I find my first customer, how do I read my own numbers, and which funding route actually fits me — including whether raising money is right for me at all.

Every session runs at least an hour, is led by an industry expert. We tap into Silicon Valley experts from C-Suite executives, from Stanford professors, to operators, founders and investors.
